Call for Extra-Volunteers: Extra sci-fi festival Verona 2026 is counting on you!

We are looking for curious minds and capable arms (or tentacles) to help us realise the fifth edition of EXTRA sci-fi festival Verona (March 2026), the first science fiction festival in the city. Join us for the unique opportunity to experience the festival from an insider’s perspective.

 

Photograph the festival

Are you a photographer, professional/amateur/student, with an eye for capturing the atmosphere of an extraordinary event? Participate as an official photographer* of EXTRA sci-fi festival Verona! Document the magic of an evening and help narate the stories of this edition. Selected photos will be shared on our social networks, tagged to your profiles and crediting the photographer(s).

Futhermore, you will receive a universal festival pass that will grant you access to all nine screenings (3 cult classics and 6 films in competition).

  • When: March 2026.
  • How to apply: send a short bio/portfolio (pdf or link)/link to website or social page to info@extrascififestival.it. Applicants will be selected on the basis of experience and quality of the portfolio.

 

Spread the word

Are you a dynamic soul who enjoys connecting (even telepathically) with the public? We are calling for volunteers willing to give us a hand in distributing flyers and posters at various locations in Verona (the area to be covered will be agreed upon together).

In addition to pats on the back from the organising team, you will receive tickets to see the festival films free of charge.

  • When: from 1 February 2026 until 1 March 2026
